Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
At Tibr (tibr.shop) we respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who sees it and your rights over it, in line with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
1. What we collect
- When you order: your name, phone number, email (optional), governorate, city and address, delivery notes, the products ordered and the payment method.
- When you create an account: your name, email, phone number, gender, date of birth and password (stored with one-way encryption, so nobody can read it, us included).
- When you sign in with Google: only your name and email, as Google shares them with your consent.
- When you pay by transfer (InstaPay or Vodafone Cash): the photo of the transfer receipt you upload.
- When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email.
- Technical data: your IP address, device and browser when you sign in, to protect your account and prevent abuse.
We never see or keep your card details: you enter them directly on the Paymob payment page.
2. Why we use your data
- To fulfil your order: confirming and delivering it, contacting you about it and emailing you its updates.
- To run your account, your order history and the loyalty program.
- To verify payments, prevent fraud and protect the website.
- To send you the newsletter, if you subscribed.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
3. Who sees your data
We share only what is needed with:
- Couriers: your name, phone number and address, to deliver your order.
- Paymob: the order details needed to complete an online payment.
- Google: when you choose to sign in with Google.
- The hosting and email providers that run the website and send its emails, who are bound to protect the data.
- Public authorities, where the law requires it.
4. Cookies
We use only the cookies the website needs to work: your cart, your sign-in, and a temporary one (ten minutes at most) while you sign in with Google. We use no advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites. Your browser also keeps a few simple preferences on your device only, such as the last governorate you chose for delivery, to make your next order quicker.
5. How long we keep data
- Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax laws require.
- Account data is kept while the account exists and deleted when you ask, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Sign-in sessions expire automatically after 30 days.
6. Keeping data safe
Every page of the website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), passwords are stored encrypted, and access to data is limited to the people who fulfil orders. No system is perfectly secure, though; if your data is ever breached, we will tell you as the law requires.
7. Your rights
At any time, you may:
- Find out what data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct or update your data; you can edit most of it yourself under "My account".
- Ask us to delete your account and data.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter.
- Withdraw your consent to any processing based on consent.
To use any of these rights, contact us; we will reply within 30 days.
8. Children
Accounts may not be created by anyone under 13, and anyone under 18 uses the website with a parent's or guardian's consent.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with the date of the last update.
10. Contact
For any question about your privacy or your data, contact us by the phone number or email address at the bottom of this page, or on WhatsApp.
